If at first you stay in bed ...

You certainly run out if time at the end of the day!!

I decided today to sleep in.  I have to wake up and drive my husband to work because he can not drive due to his stroke.  He is supposed to be at work by 8:00.  Today we left our house at about 8:10.  I do not know why my brain tells me at least twice in the morning that I have to go potty before I can leave the house.  I think tomorrow I'll try to make sure he gets to work on time.  Or at least before the boss!!  So after I dropped him off, I came home.  Normally, I try to go to the 9 am mass over at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Merchantville, but today my best friend Michelle has a job interview at The Mentor Network and since she is here without her car she took my jeep.  So after I got home at about 8:45, I climbed back into bed.

At 12:15 I looked at the clock and was like "crap I need to get moving".  Half of the normal day was gone!  Normal day referring to the normal working people!  I knew I had a busy afternoon coming up so I had to move my ass!  Don't you hate that though, when you think you can spend a little extra time in bed and then it turns out that you just really shouldn't have!!

So here I sit at 12:45 am still working on things for sign language class tomorrow!  I told my teacher that I would print out some fun 4th of July games for class but as you will soon find out I am probably one of the biggest procrastinators on the planet!  If it can be done tomorrow ... I will wait till tomorrow!  Such a bad habit.

One of the things I did this afternoon was take my husband to the doctors.  You see 4 years ago this upcoming month my husband (fiancé at the time) suffered from a dual stem stroke.  This means that both sides of his brain were affected.  He has terrible double vision (which is why he shouldn't drive) and he does have. Really hard time dealing with stressful situations.  He's been trying to work for the past 1 1/2 months helping out his friends who own/work at the company he worked at just before his stroke.  It is a pool and spa place in Cherry Hill called All Seasons.  He has been helping out in the service department dealing with customers who are basically just now calling to get help with their pools and they want them ready for the 4th!  Some of the customers can be real PITA's!!  So anyway I wanted Jim to see our favorite PCP Dr. James Runfola at Haddonfield Family Practice, so we could make sure his BP is in check and he was in no danger of having another stroke.  Of course while we were there, I have to list all of my new ailments LOL well Dr. Runfola is pushing me to go get my blood work done for my diabetes check.  I am what you would call the worse diabetic!  I'm not proud of it but it is what it is.  So today I decided I'm going to be a better diabetic.  I am going to check my blood sugar on a regular basis and I'm going to stop shoving sugar in my face.  So I checked my blood sugar before coming to type today's edition and well it was 330.  If you know anything about diabetes it is that 330 is a terrible number.  But it is a start and I'll say this, it will only go down from here!

Ok my legs have officially fallen asleep under me (I've been sitting Indian style) so I'm going to go to bed.  I had a great therapy session today with Johan over at Orthopedic Sport so I'm going to take my heating pad and lay down.  Oh and before you panic - it has an automatic shut off so I won't burn myself!!

Enjoy today because tomorrow is unknown!!

Peace!
