If at first you stay in bed ...

You certainly run out if time at the end of the day!!

I decided today to sleep in.  I have to wake up and drive my husband to work because he can not drive due to his stroke.  He is supposed to be at work by 8:00.  Today we left our house at about 8:10.  I do not know why my brain tells me at least twice in the morning that I have to go potty before I can leave the house.  I think tomorrow I'll try to make sure he gets to work on time.  Or at least before the boss!!  So after I dropped him off, I came home.  Normally, I try to go to the 9 am mass over at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Merchantville, but today my best friend Michelle has a job interview at The Mentor Network and since she is here without her car she took my jeep.  So after I got home at about 8:45, I climbed back into bed.

At 12:15 I looked at the clock and was like "crap I need to get moving".  Half of the normal day was gone!  Normal day referring to the normal working people!  I knew I had a busy afternoon coming up so I had to move my ass!  Don't you hate that though, when you think you can spend a little extra time in bed and then it turns out that you just really shouldn't have!!

So here I sit at 12:45 am still working on things for sign language class tomorrow!  I told my teacher that I would print out some fun 4th of July games for class but as you will soon find out I am probably one of the biggest procrastinators on the planet!  If it can be done tomorrow ... I will wait till tomorrow!  Such a bad habit.

One of the things I did this afternoon was take my husband to the doctors.  You see 4 years ago this upcoming month my husband (fiancĂ© at the time) suffered from a dual stem stroke.  This means that both sides of his brain were affected.  He has terrible double vision (which is why he shouldn't drive) and he does have. Really hard time dealing with stressful situations.  He's been trying to work for the past 1 1/2 months helping out his friends who own/work at the company he worked at just before his stroke.  It is a pool and spa place in Cherry Hill called All Seasons.  He has been helping out in the service department dealing with customers who are basically just now calling to get help with their pools and they want them ready for the 4th!  Some of the customers can be real PITA's!!  So anyway I wanted Jim to see our favorite PCP Dr. James Runfola at Haddonfield Family Practice, so we could make sure his BP is in check and he was in no danger of having another stroke.  Of course while we were there, I have to list all of my new ailments LOL well Dr. Runfola is pushing me to go get my blood work done for my diabetes check.  I am what you would call the worse diabetic!  I'm not proud of it but it is what it is.  So today I decided I'm going to be a better diabetic.  I am going to check my blood sugar on a regular basis and I'm going to stop shoving sugar in my face.  So I checked my blood sugar before coming to type today's edition and well it was 330.  If you know anything about diabetes it is that 330 is a terrible number.  But it is a start and I'll say this, it will only go down from here!

Ok my legs have officially fallen asleep under me (I've been sitting Indian style) so I'm going to go to bed.  I had a great therapy session today with Johan over at Orthopedic Sport so I'm going to take my heating pad and lay down.  Oh and before you panic - it has an automatic shut off so I won't burn myself!!

Enjoy today because tomorrow is unknown!!

Peace!

Simply Sonya

Hi!  My name is Sonya Rambo.  I have started several other blogs and have been completely unsuccessful.  Not for the fact that I don't have anything to say, trust me!  I have lots to say but I've always set up my blogs for specific reasons.  1st blog talked about me post accident.  2nd blog was going to be about married life and my cats lol snooze fest I know.  My last attempt was going to be about cooking.  I'm not sure if any of you followed that blog but I'm seriously not a cooker.  I found it a bit daunting to have to write my blog because I never, ever cook.  So I was talking to my husband and he said "why not write a blog and call it 'Simply Sonya' and go from there.  So here I am.  I'm going to just write about me, and my life.  The good, the bad and the ugly.  I'm going to share with you things that I find interesting and I may shock the world and share some recipes that I've tried (or that someone else made and I ate) lol. There won't be any rules to this blog.  It's just going to be Simply Sonya!!  Hope you enjoy my rants and ramblings!  Leave me a note if you stop by and visit.  Tell me about your day.  I'm sure your life is just as exciting as mine!!

Of course as I start my blogging I notice that my iPad is currently on 5% power so I have to type fast!  Haha.

I just recently had my backyard transformed from a muddy mess into my oasis.  I'm sitting out back right now listening to the sound of my waterfall and I'm enjoying it so much.  If you are in the area and need a landscape artist you should really call Amazing Tree!  They truly understood my concepts.  I just wanted a place I could go to relax and when I met the owner Matt and I showed him my backyard (mud & a pool), and I said to him " I want an oasis" he said to me an oasis to me is ... and I was sold!!  You totally have to see the difference!

I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how to post pictures lol  If you know how, please let me know!

So I have to ask ... Are you a Big Brother fan??  I am 100% addicted!  I'm not too sure about this season yet!  Two HOH's??  Battle of the Block??  So much !!  I will watch faithfully and I will definitely be talking about that!  I'm a fan!!

Ok so for tonight, June 29, 2014 I think I'm done.  Just wanted to introduce my new blog and get started!  My iPad is dying slowly and Big Brother is on lol so I must run but I'll be back and this time .... It's for good!!

Remember, you only get one (well ... Some may think we get more) but regardless ... Live life to the fullest!!

Peace
